helix is interesting, and I tried using it for a few days. it requiring forgetting all my muscle memory though is a major kick in the balls. so I guess I'll try evil helix, and see if it's simple enough to keep over needing to configure neovim. seeing how minimal my neovim config is, however, I'm not sure it's going to stay. kitty has a much similar memory footprint than alacritty compared to what I expected, given kitty has many many advanced features. I figure I'll stick with it for a bit, and see if I become strongly opinionated. ligatures are nice, and I appreciate a lot of what kitty has to offer. ghostty uses more memory, and while I believe it's a similar feature set to kitty, I'm not yet sure what it does to set it apart. nixos when. |
